The Digital Operational Resilience Act
In 2022 the European Union enacted the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA). DORA directs all players in the financial services world — both financial firms themselves, and the vendors that support them — to implement robust policies, practices, and internal controls to assure that each player in the financial world can keep performing even amid cyber attacks and other disruptions.
The deadline for those compliance obligations is fast approaching and will take effect January 2025. In this paper we will explore what the law requires companies to do, the practical challenges in meeting those compliance obligations, and what businesses should do now to assure that you have the right capabilities in place at the right time.
